Pinecone Portrait began around a crowded Montréal table: brushes in one jar, coffee in another, and someone always arriving with a baguette under one arm.

We are a small group of artists who paint families living in different cities, pets who refuse to sit still, and the people someone wishes could have shared one photograph. Between sketches, we argue about greens, tear croissants in half, and keep working until the picture feels like yours.
